Below are some personal works that I created over the course of the past three years that I found best resonates with my intake on life. I find that while both these styles are drastically different from one another, these pieces best represent my own personal styles through the use of both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The top of the page starts with my past work and progressively shifts towards my recent works as you scroll down the page.

Mackinac Island Picture - Over the course of my childhood, my family and I took several visits to Mackinac Island; a small island off the coast of the Northern Peninsula of Michigan near the city of St. Ignace. During our 2017 visit, my dad and I ended up walking up to Fort Mackinac in order to take some pictures of the view from atop the fort wall. We ended up having a great time going throughout the old timey downtown area and biking around the island with the rest of my family.
It wasn't until 2022 that I decided to design a logo this island as I thought it would be nice to add my own personal touch to the picture initially taken some time ago. Using the P22 Afton Regular font, I created this logo while keep in mind the 19th century appeal of the town architecture and horse drawn carriages.
Breaking Bad Poster - A few years ago whilst binge watching the AMC series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, both written and produced by Vince Gilligan, I was encapsulated by the wonderful cinematography of the series a whole. Some of the scenes that I found to be noteworthy for their ability to shape the story with simple foreshadowing. This ultimately inspired me to create a poster based off the concept I had for an earlier project that I had created for an assignment in one of the earlier courses I had taken at OU.

MF DOOM Text Collage
MF DOOM Poster - For this poster design, I created a typographical rendition of the late rapper MF DOOM. At the time, I was creating this poster back in 2021 for a course that I was taking at OU. I personally didn't really have a chance to polish over all the mistakes that I had made when creating the design. The text warping portion of the design took quite some time for me to create as I was only briefly introduced to Adobe Illustrator. After a couple months had passed, I got a better idea of how to properly use the tools needed to create this design.
Comic Book Cover - As apart of my three year anniversary gift for my girlfriend, I personally designed a poster made in the style of a comic book cover through the use of Adobe Photoshop and a video tutorial by Texture Labs on YouTube. I was able to achieve this look by first altering picture with several oil paint layers. From there I used an adjustment layer to drop the saturation down, and a gradient map to further adjust the color scale. Finally, I added in some halftones and grit layers to add that weathered look to the poster and some external elements such as text and images.

Travis Scott Poster - As I was pursuing around social media I noticed several posts with some designs that were similar to the previous poster that I had made with my girlfriend and I. At the time, I had just finished creating a design of the rapper Lil Uzi Vert for a story cover, located in the Oakland Post tab of my portfolio, at my job with the Oakland Post. So I took it upon myself to create a Travis Scott poster fashioned in the style of what I thought would fit the pose he is in.
World Water Day Poster - As of February 2024, I was given the opportunity by a family member of mine to design a movie flyer for print usage to advertise a movie showing for the Penn Theater, a local downtown movie theater located in Plymouth, Michigan, as apart of celebrating World Water Day 2024 . In order to better relate to World Water Day, I figured to create a vector shaped background from a memory I had standing atop the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and looking out onto Lake Michigan.

Outer Wilds Poster
Outer Wilds Poster - Over the summer of 2024, I played a space exploration video game by the name of Outer Wilds. The two featured figures within this piece are two different species of aliens featured in the game. It wasn't until after completing the game that I began using the pen tool in order to create a vector graphic to showcase my enjoyment for this game.
Detroit Lions Sports Wallpapers - I recently created two wallpapers designs intended for the a phone wallpaper background which both highlight players that are my personal favorites. The first wallpaper showcases defensive end player #97 Aidan Hutchinson, who was draft picked in the 2022 NFL draft from University of Michigan. The figure is plastered on a pattern background with a gradient on the lower half of Aidan Hutchinson. This allows room for the smaller version of Aidan as well as an embordered version of the Detroit Lions logo.

Hutchinson Wallpaper
The second wallpaper features two running backs on the Detroit Lions offense. Player #26 Jahmyr Gibbs, who was picked in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft from Georgia Tech University. The wallpaper also features player #5 David Montgomery. He was initially drafted to the Chicago Bears from Iowa State University in the 2019 NFL draft but was then later picked up by the Detroit Lions in 2023.
This design features both players running the ball fashioned with a crumpled paper background as well as a Lion shown in the iconic Honolulu Blue. The phrase, "Felines on the Prowl" draws back on the speed and tenacity of both players on the field.
